Triumph has postponed the launch of the 2020 Street Triple RS launch in India due to the novel coronavirus outbreak. The Triumph british manufacturer says a new launch date will be announced post-March 31.
Talking about the bike, the point is about the 765cc motor that has been the talk of the town ever since it was launched in 2017. The engine’s internals have been reworked to comply with Euro 5/BS6 emission norms. Despite of this, the three-cylinder engine still puts out 123PS of peak power and torque, on the other hand, has gone up by 2Nm and now sits at 79Nm. The only change being grippier Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP v3 tires.
Well considering Triumph electronic aids have also been reworked to suit the retuned engine. A bi-directional quickshifter now arrives as standard. Indians can expect the India-spec model to be priced around Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS will compete against the Yamaha MT-09, KTM 790 Duke, and the Ducati Monster 821.
